AiroCorp interview about FiOS artificial intelligence technology
06Aug
Mouser Electronics partners with celebrity engineer Grant Imahara to announce the next Innovation Spotlight interview.
This is part of the Home and Factory Automation Series and Empowering Innovation Together program.
Building on the first Innovation Spotlight interview with Insteon, Grant continues his discussion on Home and Factory Automation by delving into the world of Artificial Intelligence (AI). In this interview, Grant discusses one of his favorite topics and superhero “must-haves” as he explores the possibility of an operating system like J.A.R.V.I.S.— the AI that controlled Tony Stark’s house and suit in the Iron Man movies — with the founder and COO of AiroCorp, Chiragh Dewan.
Inspired by Tony Stark’s operating system, AiroCorp has developed an artificial intelligent operating system called FiOS. This fully centralised technology thinks and learns about the user’s surroundings, habits and usage patterns and adapts itself according to the needs of each user. During his interview with Grant, Dewan talks about the impacts and potential of this technology.
“With FiOS, AiroCorp is taking home automation to the next level by turning a once-reactive type of control technology into a proactive and intuitive one,” said Grant Imahara. “AiroCorp is developing a real-life version of technology that can learn from your behaviors and interact with you in real time. FiOS is designed to evolve with its user; not only does it understand you, but it remembers things from your past and uses it to enhance your experience based on your mood. Who wouldn’t want this type of technology in their home? I know I do!”
The Innovation Spotlight with AiroCorp is available on the Mouser Electronics website. Learn from Dewan how AiroCorp’s vision of an operating system able to understand human’s needs is closer than we think. The technology has already attracted over 200,000 user trial requests and 5,000 contributing developers. Catch up with Grant and Dewan and learn what innovative technologies to look forward to in this special Mouser interview.
The interview is part of the new Home and Factory Automation Series and Empowering Innovation Together program available only on Mouser.com. This new series, sponsored by Platinum program partner Analog Devices and Diamond sponsors Altera, Murata, and TE Connectivity, is the third installment and follow-up to the popular Robotics and Space series topics launched earlier this year from Mouser Electronics.
