A research report this month, projects the UK panel building industry to grow by 10% from 2012 to 2016, and with the electrical and contracting market migrating towards a full-system-supplier model. IML Group Plc has addressed the market's information demands with the evolution of 'Panel & System Building' into 'Panel Building & System Integration' magazine (PBSI).
The magazine will be launched in February 2013 then published monthly, more than doubling the amount of content currently provided to the sector by enhancing 'Panel and System Building's' existing editorial, frequency and volume. It will include the addition of multiple new feature areas, whilst also incorporating the best that 'Electrical Products' magazine had to offer. 'Panel Building & System Integration' will not only address the market's shift in operational mind set, but also deliver editorial tuned to the contemporary needs of those working in this very dynamic sector.
Research suggests that the steady growth of the industry is down to a number of factors, including additional legislation relating to health & safety, energy efficiency legislation and the growth of certain traditional markets, such as oil and gas.
So the panel building and system integration industry needs a magazine that keeps its finger on the pulse and delivers the concise information that the decision makers need to see, ‘PBSI’ will meet this requirement.
Editor Alistair Winning explains: "There is significant demand for a title such as this. Rather than picking away at different disciplines using different media outlets, it makes sense to combine the market's needs into a single pertinent, informative title that covers all the important facets of the electrical and system building industry."
Publisher Russell Goater elaborates: "There are multiple titles available that cover their own small element of this market. What we have done is create an overarching magazine that will cover the needs of all the personnel working in the industry. The system integration badge is particularly relevant as this is one of the major driving forces currently propelling the electrical industry."
He continued “We intend the new look publication, website & weekly newsletter which launches February 2013, to appeal to all involved in the design, manufacture and installation of panels and systems. This includes electricians, consultants, electrical designers & engineers, installers, testers, managers, electrical technical managers, field engineers, electro-mechanical engineers, designers & managers.
Editorially, 'Panel Building and System Integration' will be news and feature driven, with case studies and technical articles falling under the control of Mark Fletcher, the features editor. Mark brings a wealth of experience of the electromechanical sector and will be writing and sourcing material that goes right to the heart of the industry.
'Panel Building and System Integration' will have a combined digital and print circulation in excess of 24,000. The print circulation will be fully verified within three months of the launch, meaning that it will be the tightest most qualified print circulation of all the electrical magazines in the UK market.
The 2013 features list & advertising rates are now available by email request to Olly Filmer and include all of the industry's most important topics.
