Why it’s time to consign the problems of EMI to history

It will come as no surprise that the world is becoming increasingly reliant upon a wide range of electronic and electrical products that are designed to make everyone’s lives easier and make industries more efficient. What is surprising, however, is the number of products that fail when they are put through the essential electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing process.
Despite electromagnetic interference (EMI) being an issue for more than 40 years, far too many devices continue to fail compliance tests in the laboratory, or cause significant disruption on site when they cease to work properly.
