Faster mounting and more air flow: The new DA 284 pressure compensation device for enclosures

Pressure differentials in enclosures are a result of internal and external temperature changes. In the case of negative pressure or partial vacuum, dust and humidity can enter the enclosure through the door seal. When the air inside the enclosure cools down, condensation may occur. In addition, dust can cause conductive connections that lead to a short circuit. What is the adequate countermeasure?
The solution: the DA 284 pressure compensation device. This new STEGO product counteracts the pressure differentials in your enclosure. In case of overpressure, the membrane allows humidity to escape to the outside. At the same time, humidity is prevented from getting back into the enclosure when air flows in through the DA 284.

Snap-in retaining lamellas ensure easy mounting. The DA 284 firmly snaps into aeration holes with wall thicknesses of 1 to 4mm. The waterproof membrane and sealing ring ensure classification to protection class IP66.
The new M12 version of the DA 284 pressure compensation device is made of aluminium. Aluminium protects the pressure compensation device from the adverse effects of UV radiation and from saltwater – be it spray or direct exposure. Thanks to its novel membrane, the DA 284 achieves an 80% higher flow rate than comparable products.
