Electrical CAD software speeds up control panel design for high-tech projects

An electrical CAD package is speeding up Panther Engineering’s control panel design, in line with the latest developments in the automotive and aerospace sectors.
The company, which specialises in the design of control panels for manufacturers such as BAE Systems, Lotus and Jaguar Land Rover, is using WSCAD’s SUITE X solution to ensure design precision is combined with fast project delivery.
Founded in the mid-1990s in Leigh, Lancashire, Panther Engineering focused on building control panels for a wide variety of applications, before turning its attention to designing the systems itself. Today, Panther Engineering’s primary expertise is delivering control panels for paint and coating finishing applications, mainly for the automotive and aerospace sectors.
Working with high-tech manufacturers, from Airbus to McLaren, means that demands on control precision are extremely high for applications that include exacting climatic control in spray booths and the automation of robotic finishing systems. Since 1999, when Panther Engineering exchanged its drawing boards for an E-CAD system, the company has always chosen WSCAD.
