Specific cooling requirements in corrosive atmospheres!
28Oct
Finding the right cooling solution in high corrosive atmospheres isn't easy! That is unless you use Cosmotec for your cooling solution.
The process of generating electricity from wastewater sludge being turned in biogas with decanter centrifuges produces an atmosphere high in ammonia and sulfur oxides. Standard units will quickly fail in such an atmosphere, so specially prepared and treated units should be used.
For this application, Cosmotec supplies specially prepared and treated units that are able to operate normally in highly corrosive environments.
The problem:
One of the functions of a city's wastewater purification is to convert residue sludges into biogas for producing electricity. The decanter centrifuges used for this purpose are placed together and controlled with an electrical control panel which requires a cooling system. The purification process creates a highly corrosive atmosphere with substances including ammonia and sulfur oxides.
The solution:
Two specially prepared Protherm units with excellent corrosive resistance; CVE0800220Z003 and CVE2000261Z000. These units are able to operate in highly corrosive conditions where standard units would quickly fail resulting in the system being offline and generating additional costs. Our units are prepared and treated to ensure the external structure, refrigerant circuit and control elements are protected against the corrosive atmosphere. Available through Indele Ltd.
