TE Connectivity interviewed on factory automation
19Aug
Mouser Electronics and Grant Imahara talk to TE’s Rob Shaddock for the final Innovation Spotlight interview.
In this final interview of the series, Grant uncovers the latest in connectivity and sensor solutions from one of the world’s largest providers: TE Connectivity. Learn how TE Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Rob Shaddock sees the evolution of factory automation, and how TE is contributing to that evolution by connecting power and control systems to make manufacturing more productive with its ARISO Contactless Connectivity system.
The Innovation Spotlight with TE Connectivity, now available on the Mouser Electronics website, explores the ways innovative companies like TE offer design solutions that maximise uptime and productivity, while cutting through the dust, dirt, water, corrosion and vibration that often get in the way of optimal connectivity and communication in the factory.
Enabling connectivity where connections were not possible before, the TE ARISO system features couplers to add embedded intelligence capabilities, as well as sensors, which capture, store and communicate data. Using both contactless power and contactless data technology, ARISO can help reduce maintenance and installation efforts on the factory floor by easily connecting over a short distance without physical contact, diminishing problems that typically affect connectivity in harsh environments and impact the reliable delivery of power, data and signal.
This new series is the third installment and follow-up to the popular Robotics series, a Telly award winner, and Space series launched earlier this year from Mouser Electronics and Grant Imahara.
