Transformer company seeks candidates to support exponential growth
28Jun
Having expanded its manufacturing premises over two sites, and grown exponentially over the last few years, Electro-Wind is actively recruiting candidates to support further growth of the Stoke-on-Trent transformers company.
Designing and manufacturing single- and three-phase transformer products for customers in the UK, Europe, and global markets over the past 40 years, second-generation family-owned and operated Electro-Wind has seen strong demand for its standard and custom-built products. Contributing to this success is the company’s strategy to invest in stock in order to ensure continuity of production, as well as to enable prices to be kept as consistent as possible.
Comments Electro-Wind Director Rachel Stanley-Cooper, “Materials shortages in the general marketplace have boosted the UK manufacturing base and contributed to our growth, and demand for custom-built, British-made products seems to be higher than ever. With this in mind, the drive to sustain growth and invest in staff is an ongoing priority for Electro-Wind. We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate a strong commitment and continuous passion in line with our own. We have forward-thinking values, with very low staff turnover, and are now looking for talented, committed and passionate new people for succession planning and promotion who can help us to sustain this growth.”
While many of Electro-Wind’s long-established team members have worked for the company for over 20 years, the company’s most recent recruits fill a number of varied roles within the company, including Jeff Roberts, who recently joined the sales team. Roberts has a strong background in the electrical distribution and wholesale markets and many years’ direct experience within the electrical industry. Justyna Rokita, originally from Zabrze, Poland, moved to England 18 years ago and has many years of experience in electrical assembly work; she currently works winding small- to medium-sized coils, while Jack Colclough took engineering courses at college and had a ‘Mechanical Work’ placement before joining Electro-Wind in the winding department.
Other recent recruits include Alister Holmes, who joined the assembly department as a core builder, having had experience in bespoke lighting for several years, Matt Gould who has an electrical background as a qualified electrician prior to joining Electro-Wind as a builder and finisher, and Chris Ball, who was in the construction industry whilst working on an engineering qualification before joining the winding department at Electro-Wind.
