Special enclosures require engineered solutions
05Mar
What classes a certain enclosure as special? The ability to reduce production and assembly times? To deal directly with issues that conventional enclosures cannot tackle? Or maybe the enclosure is completely bespoke and fabricated, tackling a direct application.
Whatever it is, any enclosure has the potential to become special when given the correct use of features suited to different industries and applications.
Enclosures with well thought-out features can drastically improve their efficiency whilst operating in the field, and also provide benefits to those assembling the electronics for consumer use.
The Easy Assembly Electronics Enclosure from CamdenBoss makes use of a unique dual-action lid, featuring a push-button clip mechanism that attaches the lid to the base. This allows the lid to be attached quickly and easily without the need to screw the lid down. With this feature, the enclosure provides quicker assembly time over conventional lids and therefore offers cost savings. This premium enclosure has been designed and manufactured with features specifically to tackle industry requirements and issues.
This enclosure showcases another engineered design feature. Inside the enclosure, located at the top of the base section, is a set of supports on either side. These supports have been designed to require no screws when mounting your PCB, which is held in place by the unique spring feature in the lid. There are also sets of bosses in the base in a central position to provide a full edge to edge space, maximising volume.
