Some of you may know me from Design, Products & Applications (DPA) and Connectivity; both sister titles to PBSI. To give you a bit of background, I joined IML in 2014 as an Assistant Editor on PBSI and Electronic Product, Design & Test (EPDT), before gaining editorship of DPA around two years later. I was then involved in the launch of Connectivity in 2017 and, as of 2020, I have the pleasure of once again working on PBSI. The overall system integrator market for industrial automation is expected to grow substantially by 2022 (MarketsandMarkets) and the panel building market is set for a boost due to the rapid growth from 6.2 billion Internet of Things (IoT) devices, with connectivity and automation driving demand (MTW Research). As the UK’s only magazine dedicated to Panel Builders & System Integrators, I’m looking forward growing the title to meet the needs of this expanding market. Look out for my editorial column, Paige’s Page, in each issue of magazine as I will be discussing the latest technological innovations, issues and interests across Industry and will be asking for your opinion on numerous topics!Do let us know what you think of the issue and if there are any specific topics you think we should be covering.
